takes back to back wins in Imola
Dunlop
Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of the Year Eoin Murray
impressed with two wins at Imola this weekend in the final
two rounds of the European Alfa Challenge.
Eoin,
who races with backing from Holfeld F1 Components, Alfa
Romeo Ireland & Gary Aron Homes qualified in fourth
position for the first of the two races of the weekend.
By the second lap he had hit the front and despite relentless
pressure he led all the way to the chequered flag.
The
win in race one secured him pole position for race two and
the young Irish driver was
not about to squander this opportunity by driving a faultless
race from Pole to Flag and securing the top step of the

tally to five podiums out of eleven starts for the season.
An
obviously pleased Eoin said afterwards ‘’ I
am really delighted with the job the team have done for
me this weekend and I am thrilled to have won. I have had
a number of podiums in the series but my aim for the season
was to learn the tracks and win a race; now I have won two
races and hold the lap records for Valencia and Magny-Cours.’’
Eoin is already in discussions with teams in relation to
next years Championship however the possibility of a drive
in the European Touring Car Championship also beacons.
