The
European Alfa Challenge Resumes this weekend in Spa-Francorchamps
The
European Alfa Romeo Challenge resumes this weekend after
a ten week break at Spa in Belgium. The Dunlop Motorsport
Ireland Young Driver of the Year Eoin Murray continues his
Championship quest on one of Europe’s longest &
most challenging circuits as part of the support race program
for the famous Spa 24 Hour Race.
Eoin,
who is the only driver from the British Isles Competing
in the series is hopeful of a good result ‘‘Spa
is the longest track on the European Circuit and although
its new to me I’ve been in the same situation every
race this season
and I am confident of learning the track quickly, in the
limited time available.’’
Murray,
who races with backing from, Alfa Romeo Ireland, Holfeld
F1 Components, & GaryAron Homes has been busy over the
Summer lay-off working as part of the Murray Motorsport
team in fielding a dominant line up which has won every
race in this Year’s Fiat Punto Abarth Championship
so far. Eoin himself has recently competed to great acclaim
in a Formula Ireland outing at Mondello Park where he scored
a fifth place in race on and a fourth place in race two
despite it being his first time ever racing in a single
seater car.
