The Dunlop Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year for 2003, Eoin Murray has signed a one race deal with JRC Motorsport to race at next weekends Formula Ireland double header at Mondello Park. Eoin, who is currently on a Summer lay off from the European Alfa Romeo Challenge until the 31st July at Spa, has decided to contest this round as part of his on going training program.

Murray, who races in the European Alfa Challenge with backing from Alfa Romeo Ireland, Gary Aron Homes, Carnegie Sand and Gravel & Holfeld Formula 1 Components receives backing from Fastrack, who are Irelands largest same day national courier service, for this one off event.

Commenting on the drive Eoin said ‘’ This will be my second time ever sitting in a single seater the last being the Formula Renault as part of the assessment for the Dunlop Motorsport Young Driver of the year last year. I enjoyed the experience then and although I have no plans to move from Saloons to Single seaters this one off sponsorship by Fastrack gives me the opportunity to race in a single seater & I am looking forward to the challenge’’

Eoin is currently lying in fifth place in the European Alfa Challenge and has already been on the Podium three times and holds the series lap record for Valencia in Spain and Magny-Cours in France. This weekend will prove to be a big challenge for the young Dublin driver but one which he is really looking forward to.
