24th August 2005 // Murray focused as he heads to Germany

Dunlop Motorsport Ireland Young driver of the year Eoin Murray is in determined mood as he heads to Oschersleben in Germany for rounds 8 & 9 of the European Alfa Romeo Championship this weekend.

Eoin, who is backed by some of Irelands top drivers is defending a 37 point lead in the championship and is reasonably confident of a good haul of points from the German round. "This is a new circuit for me, some of the other competitors have raced & tested here in the past and know the circuit I have never been here & will have to learn it from scratch. We will only have 30 minutes free practice but I learn tracks pretty quickly & this should be enough time to get me on the pace."

Eoin’s championship aspirations will be helped greatly by a good result in Oschersleben this weekend and all his energies will be focused on collecting as many championship points as possible. "Thoughts of winning races are not uppermost in my mind right now I will be concentrating on qualifying well and staying out of trouble as much as possible, in the race, so as to maximize my championship lead."
