28th May 2008 // Murray Heads to Pau

Fresh from his victory in Valencia two weeks ago Eoin Murray heads to the streets of Pau in France for the third and fourth rounds of the Seat Leon Eurocup. Following a fantastic recovery drive in Valencia when he qualified a lowly 18th position he battled to 8th position in race 1 and won race 2. Eoin wants to add to his eleven championship points where he currently lies second in the standings.

Driving the Reynolds Logistics Seat Leon Eoin is optimistic but none the less cautious about the task ahead. “I have never driven a street circuit before but I normally have the ability to learn circuits very quickly. We made the best of our opportunities at Valencia but we still have a lot to learn about this new car and I am not underestimating the challenge ahead’.

Eoin has had fantastic support from Ireland since his win in Valencia & he is hoping to come away from this weekend with a lot more knowledge and a good haul of Championship points.
“My team PRS Group are working very hard to give me a good car for this weekend. The car will need to be quite a bit different for this tight street track but we have learnt a lot from Valencia and I’m sure we will not have the problems we had when we arrived at Valencia two weeks ago. I have done my homework on this track, it is extremely tight with footpaths and only space for one car in some places. My plan is to stay away from the walls and score some good points for my championship campaign”.

The entire races from Pau will be shown on Eurosport2 with Highlights on Eurosport.
Race 1: 13.15 Saturday 31st May – broadcast LIVE
Race 2: 12.05 Sunday 1st June – broadcast 15.00
