20th June 2007 // Murray forced to sit-out Oulton

A blown engine in round eight, of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Croft two weeks ago has meant that Irish driver Eoin Murray must sit-out this weekends British Touring Car action at Oulton Park.

Team Quest have worked extremely hard through the year and done a fantastic job with the resources available but without a replacement engine racing at Oulton is not possible.

Mike Thompson, Team principle commented “Although we have a spare 156 engine it is close to the maximum mileage allowed and we can’t risk using it for a full race weekend”.

Despite the setback of the blown engine Eoin declared himself ‘’well pleased’’ with the performance of his Reynolds Logistics backed machine at Croft where he showed an improved performance.

Speaking from his base in Dublin Eoin said ‘’ We are all very disappointed with the fact that we cannot race at Oulton Park however our commitment to the series is as strong as ever and we are determined, despite the budgetary and other constraints to compete in the remaining rounds up to the end of the season. We will be competing at Donington Park on the 15th July and utilising the set-up and track knowledge learned there, with a very successful run in 2006, to extract the very best from the car.’’
