Leading the under 25 Championship and running second overall in the standings in the European Alfa 147 championship after the first round double Dunlop/Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of the Year Eoin Murray is looking forward to a successful trip to Magny -Cours this weekend. The Holfeld F1 Components backed driver recalls his visit there last year when he started 12th on the grid and drove a blistering race to finish in 2nd place. He holds the lap record for an Alfa 147 at the circuit.

"I had a mechanical problem in qualifying there last year, however, once that was sorted out I went very well in the race finishing second from 12th. I had a good run at Monza in the opening rounds this year, taking two second place finishes, however, Magny-Cours is a better track for me although we still have some concerns about the power in my car and hopefully this can be sorted out by the weekend."

This year is about scoring Championship points and Eoin will be working this weekend to score as many points as possible Eoin’s progress in this and the rest of the series can be followed right here on his new-look website.
