1st September 2010 // Murray ready for Oschersleben challenge

With just two events remaining in the Seat Leon Eurocup, Oschersleben in Germany this weekend will be a crucial event for the three title contenders. Eoin Murray’s Championship challenge is firmly on course following a podium finish at the last round in Brno. Michael Rossi currently leads the standing on 34 points, followed closing by Gabor Weber on 32 points and Murray on 30 points.

A large attendance is expected throughout this weekend at the 3.6km Oschersleben circuit where Murray previously raced on during the 2008 Seat Leon Eurocup. Murray comments on the circuit “I really like this track as it has a really good mix of flowing chicanes, high speed corners and slow hairpins. Finding a good balance with the car will be very important and something I hope we can achieve in free practice on Friday before qualifying.”

With the championship reaching the closing stages the pressure will be mounting for all drivers and teams involved. Eoin’s Oasis Motorsport team have worked hard to ensure everything will go smoothly during the weekend. “The Team have been doing a great job and together we must continue to work hard for the last two events if we are to win this championship. I expect things to be tense this weekend but I have been in this position previously on a few occasions so hopefully my experience will pay off”.
