14th July 2010 // Murray returns to Brands seeking points

Just seven points stand between Irish Driver Eoin Murray and Seat Leon Eurocup points leader Gabor Weber as the series comes nearer to home at the Brands Hatch circuit in London this weekend. A strong performance from Murray at Zolder in June last saw him take a second place in race 2 and place him fourth in the overall standings. The series heads to the Kent Circuit this weekend for rounds five and six.

Murray’s last outing at the 4.2km Brands Hatch GP circuit was in 2008 where he took a strong win. He will be looking to repeat that result this weekend. The Oasis Motorsport driver, supported by Louropel & Saraiva, has had a difficult season to date. The team have been working ‘flat out’ to provide the best car possible, and there is general confidence within the team for the weekend ahead.

Commenting before the weekend action Eoin said “We have had some frustrating problems at both of the opening races but despite this I am satisfied with our championship position at this point. The team have been working really hard and I’m hoping I can repay their effort with a strong result this weekend. Brands GP is one of my favourite tracks as it has some fantastic high-speed corners and the track has a great flow. I cannot wait to renew my acquaintance”
