Currently lying sixth in the standings with 5 Championship Points from the opening two rounds Eoin Murray heads to Zolder in Belgium for rounds three and four of the Seat Eurocup Series this weekend.
This will be the first time for the Irish ace to race at the formidable Belgian circuit and he is already looking forward to the experience. “I can normally get to grips with new circuits quickly, I am confident that I will master Zolder and find a good balance with the car before the all important 30 minute qualifying session on Saturday morning’’
Eoin, who left Monza less than fully satisfied with the performance of his car following the last two rounds is hopeful that the changes made in the meantime will provide the performance necessary to take maximum points from this weekend. “The car was lacking a lot of power at the opening rounds at Monza and the team have worked really hard to resolve the issues. The team and I are confident we will have a good performance this weekend and score a good haul of points.’’
Eoin will have for free practice on Friday with qualifying on Saturday morning. His first race of the weekend takes place on Saturday afternoon followed by race two on Sunday morning. The races will be shown on Eurosport (please check your local TV schedule closer to the time).
